Scheduling Status Checks
With the paid version of Blocked in China you can schedule automatic status checks Monthly, Weekly, Daily, or Hourly.
Set a Schedule#
Under the Schedule tab of the Blocked in China plugin, you can select the frequency at which you'd like automatic status checks to run.
Upgrade to the paid version if you haven't already.
Open the Schedule tab inside the plugin.
Tick the checkbox to enable scheduled checks.
Pick a frequency from the dropdown: Monthly, Weekly, Daily, or Hourly.
Save your settings. From now on, status checks run automatically on that cadence.
Scheduled checks rely on WordPress's built-in cron system (WP-Cron), which only fires when your site receives traffic. On very low-traffic sites you may want to trigger wp-cron.php from a system cron job for reliable timing.
What Happens After Each Check#
Each scheduled check runs the same flow as a manual check: your URL is sent to the API, results come back, and the row is appended to your status log automatically. You can review every past result on the Log tab.
